A Chinese Gilt Lacquer Table Altar, c. 1900 - A Chinese Gilt Lacquer Table Altar, c. 1900   The cover decorated with interior and exterior scenes of court life, removed to reveal a red lacquer and gilt tiered stand, on a parcel-gilt black lacquer stand with pierced gallery on carved foo dogs.     Dimensions : 18 1/4 in. x 5 in., 10 5/8 in. high Condition: The stand with one section of pierced carving recently reattached.  Small chips and losses to foo dog carved feet.  Flaking, chips, and losses to lacquer decoration, particularly to top, with areas of restoration and infill.  Other general nicks, marks, soiling and wear.
