C. COMTE.” lower right   Dimensions : 28 3/4 in. x 20 3/4 in.; 34 1/4 in. x 26 3/4 in. (framed)   Provenance : From a Philadelphia collection. Condition: Approximate 3 1/2 in. crack to panel at top middle.  Some areas of abrasion to edges of panel, which is somewhat loose in frame.  The giltwood frame with some losses to gilding and gesso, particularly along bottom edge.  Under UV light, a couple scattered areas of inpaint to skirt and one spot under chin.
