A Queen Anne Cherrywood Flat-Top Highboy, Possibly Connecticut, c. 1750 - A Queen Anne Cherrywood Flat-Top Highboy, Possibly Connecticut, c. 1750   In two parts; the top with molded cornice above five graduated long drawers  and the bottom with one long drawer above three short with acorn-drop apron on cabriole legs ending in pad feet.   Dimensions : 36 1/4 in. wide, overall, 34 1/4 in. wide at the waist, 18 1/2 in deep, 74 3/4 in. high   Provenance : From an Ohio collection. Condition: Brasses later but in original holes.  Later surface.  Shrinkage crack and infill to upper right case side.  Returns reglued.  Repairs and replacements to drawer lips on bottom case.  Spliced replacement to rear legs.  Repturns replaced.  Repair to front left pad foot.
