A Chippendale Walnut Chest of Drawers, Mid-Atlantic or Delaware Valley, Dated ”1789” - A Chippendale Walnut Chest of Drawers, Mid-Atlantic or Delaware Valley, Dated ”1789”   With four dovetailed and graduated drawers that feature inlaid stringing, the top drawer with central date of 1789 flanked by two fish forms, canted corners with lamb's tongue terminals and and old replaced base moldings and ogee bracket feet.    Dimensions: 37in wide at the waist, the overall width is 38 1/2in, 22 1/2in deep and 42 1/2in tall.      Condition: Replaced brasses in the original holes, stains and abrasions to the top, minor losses and expected wear. There is board separations at the sides.  Old dry finish.  Escutcheons possibly original.
