An American Federal Carved Pine Mantel, Probably New Jersey, c. 1800 - An American Federal Carved Pine Mantel, Probably New Jersey, c. 1800    The shaped cornice above canted herringbone molding and a frieze with carved vine and leaf motif and applied fans above reeded pilasters.   Dimensions : 87 1/2 in. wide, 10 1/2 in. deep, 63 1/2 in. high, overall; opening 67 in. wide, 43 in. high Condition: Stripped of paint.  Minor breaks and lifting to herringbone molding at top.  Minor nicks and chips.
