An American Chippendale Inlaid-Mahogany Linen Press, c. 1795-1805 - An American Chippendale Inlaid-Mahogany Linen Press, c. 1795-1805   The cove-molded cornice above two doors with molded recessed panels centering an inlaid conch shell, opening to three shelves, the lower case with cockbeaded and crossbanded drawers, all on a scroll cutout base.   Dimensions : 45 3/4 in. high, 19 1/4 in. deep, 80 in. high   Provenance : From an Ohio collection. Condition: Lacking key.  Repaired applied stringing to upper top side.  Cockbeading to bottom drawer with patched repairs.  Patched repairs to apron and right front foot.  Escutcheons replaced.  Brasses old and possibly original.
