A Classical Figured Mahogany Desk and Bookcase, c. 1840 - A Classical Figured Mahogany Desk and Bookcase, c. 1840   A frieze drawer above a two-door bookcase fitted with adjustable shelf above three drawers on a desk with single drawer with two pressed-brass pulls above turned and fluted legs.   Dimensions : 36 1/2 in. wide, 22 1/4in. deep, 58 1/4 in. high   Provenance : From a Bucks County collection.  Condition: In two sections.  Lacking key.  Pulls original.  A few scattered replacements to veneer.  Some fading, discoloration and wear to top of desk.  Other minor nicks, marks and scratches associated with age and use.  Together with a document detailing possible provenance history with the Berthoud family and Delight Ives Smith.
