A Connecticut Silver Plated Tea Set - A Connecticut Silver Plated Tea Set    Circa 1862-1877, by Rogers, Smith & Co., New Haven, Connecticut, a six piece tea set each with hoof feet below lion masks and beaded borders, the bodies chased with floral decoration, the covered pieces with floriform finials, comprising: two 10in long teapots, a 9 1/2in long coffee pot, an 8in tall covered sugar, a 5in tall creamer, and a 5 1/2in in diameter waste bowl.    Provenance:  Bernard J.D. Irwin (1830-1917); Thence by descent in the family; From a Bucks County collection. Condition: The waste bowl with multiple stress fractures along and wear along the legs, the coffee pot's finial is present but detached and has a dent to the body, the creamer with two possible repairs to the legs, otherwise good condition with some expected surface wear as pictured.
