A Samuel Kirk & Son Silver Chinoiserie Ewer - A Samuel Kirk & Son Chinoiserie Ewer Mid 19th century, with 11oz purity mark, repousse and chased with decoration of Asian architecture, a man pushing a cart, and two birds amongst flowers, foliation, and a scrollwork, the ewer with a reeded, acanthus and ram's head handle, inscribed ”To JHR from DWC, April 22nd, 1862” Dimensions: height is 9 1/8in, spout to handle is 5in, the approximate weight is 10.90 ozt Provenance: Bernard J.D. Irwin (1830-1917); Thence by descent in the family; From a Bucks County collection. Condition: A small ding to the body of the ewer near the inscription, overall good condition with some expected surface wear.
