Hododa, Satsuma Koro - Hododa, Satsuma Koro    Meiji period, tripod with shishi mask legs, the vase form body with decoration in paint, enamels, and gilding with applied figural handles, the lid with a shishi finial, marked for Hododa (Hodota) at the bottom.    Dimensions:  height is 8in, diameter is 4 1/2in    Provenance: From a Main Line collection. Condition: The with a hairline crack and glued restoration to the shishi finial,  with some expected surface wear and minor apparent losses to the gilding.
