Meizan Studio, Pair of Miniature Satsuma Vases - Meizan Studio, Pair of Miniature Satsuma Vases    Meiji-Taisho era, a pair of Satsuma vases of a quadruped trapezoidal form each decorated in paint, enamels and gilt with panels of courtly scenes, outdoor scenes, birds and flowers, and gibbon monkeys, each signed at the bottom.    Dimensions:  each is approximately 4 3/4in in height and 1 3/4in in width.   Provenance : From a Main Line collection. Condition: Scattered surface losses to the decoration, including a loss the to the sky of the panel depicting a night scene, one of the vases with losses to the mark.
