An Assembled Set of Japanese Demitasse Cups and Saucers - An Assembled Set of Japanese Demitasse Cups and Saucers    Meiji period, an assembled set of profusely hand painted, gilt,   and enameled of cups and saucers, the three saucers with a dragon to the bowl and large chrysanthemum beneath the foot, two saucers with phoenix to the bowl and inscription beneath the foot,  the cups all with phoenix exterior decoration and the interiors gilt with painted domestic scenes and inscriptions at the bottom, all with imbricated floral borders.    Dimensions:  each cup is 2 1/4in in height, the saucers 4 3/4in in diameter.    Provenance: From a Main Line collection. Condition: Three of the cups with either hairline cracks or glued repairs, the saucers in good condition with some expected surface wear to the gilding and enamels.
