A Satsuma Vase by Setsuzan - A Satsuma Vase by Setsuzan   Meiji period, with painted and gilt decoration, the body having two pictorial panels one depicting a flock of chickens and the reverse depicting a forest landscape with sparrows, each framed by geometric patterns all above a cobalt blue ground with scrolling gilt foliation.    Dimensions:  height is 12in, diameter is 7in    Provenance: From a Main Line collection. Condition: Minor surface losses to the gilding, otherwise appears to be in generally good condition.
