Two American Sterling Silver Overlay Glass Decanters, Early 20th Century - Two American Sterling Silver Overlay Glass Decanters, Early 20th Century   Comprising: an example with grapevine overlay, marked for Matthews Company, Newark, NJ, along bottom, and with engraved script monogram within shield; and an example with abstract floral overlay, marked for Gorham Manufacturing Company, Providence, RI, along bottom, and with engraved gothic ”T” on stopper.   Dimensions : 8 1/2 in. and 8 in. high   Provenance : From a Main Line collection. Condition: Each with tarnishing, rubbing, and wear to silver overlay.  The glass stopper of the Matthews example with chips and losses.  Scratches and wear to glass to both.
