Paul Joseph Constantin Gabriel (Dutch, 1823-1903), Canal Scene - Paul Joseph Constantin Gabriel (Dutch, 1823-1903), Canal Scene oil on board, signed ”Gabriel” lower left Dimensions : 9 1/4 in. x 13 in.; 15 1/2 in. x 20 in. (framed) Condition: Surface soiling and yellowing to varnish.  Stable, but with horizontal cracks in board.  Worm holes evident in upper right quadrant.  No apparent inpainting under UV light.  The giltwood frame with flaking and loss to gesso and gilt with some areas repainted.
