The convex ribs engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL.' & '1', '2'. The breech ends with delicate embellishments. Removable striker discs, cocking indicators, top levers engraved '1' & '2',  automatic safeties, 'SAFE' inlaid in gold. The actions widely adorned with the finest acanthus scrolls and bouquets, 'J PURDEY & SONS' to the sides.
