J WILKES A 16-BORE HAMMER ACTION Ser No 518; - Cushioned rubber butt pad, chequered straight grip and forend. The rib engraved and inlaid ”WILKES - MAKER - LEEDS”. Hackett-type snap-on splinter forend with horn finial, non-rebounding hares' ears hammers, top lever. The action delicately adorned with hunting scenes and acanthus highlights.
