Samurai Sword (Katana) & Sheath - WWII Era Japan - Samurai sword / katana. Per consigner, World War II era Japan. Tang is signed on both sides, and per consigner reads: Kago Yashida Ouitahen Saikish Tetpomachi Nipohonsen Saikieki-tome. Tsuka (handle) appears to be wood in ray skin with ito fully intact. Mekugi (bamboo pins) are both missing. Menuki appear intact and present. Tsuba (guard) is present with four seppa (spacers). Double tassel officer's cord is attached. Blade is approximately 25.5”. Blade & tang weight: 795 grams. Tang is 7-5/8” long. Sheath appears to be metal over wood. Sheath length approximately 29-3/8”. Sheath weight: 675 grams.
