No 4 Mk2 Spike Bayonet, Machete & Knife - Spike bayonet - side of the bridge stamped ”No 4 MK II”. Small ”A” in a circle stamped beneath that. Entrance to throat of scabbard stamped ”No 4 Mk I” (the second roman numeral may be missing) and ”SSP 1942” Spike is approximately 7-7/8” long. ***** Machete. Heavy carbon residue on blade. Blade is stamped, we believe: ”10 / 4 / 1945”. The remainder of the stamp is not readable. Just above that stamp is a different stamp: ”MADE IN”. Handle has a great deal of wear and deterioration. Blade approximately 17” - 17.5” long. Overall length approximately 22.25”. Green webbed scabbard has faint markings below the belt loop: ”9 L.Q.L.” and ”A.F.” is all we can read. ***** Unmarked knife with red plastic handle and belt mounted scabbard. Sharpening stone is missing. Scabbard has wear. Blade is approximately 4.25” long with serrated spine.
