1853 USA Rnd Calif. Indian Head 50c Gold Token - 1853 (1915) United States round California small non-denominated Indian head gold 1/2 dollar size token. Obverse has small Indian head surrounded by 13-stars. Reverse lettering is ”California-gold” within wreath. Per consigner, Jay Roe reports that the die for these pieces has been linked to Nathan Joseph's piece made of solid 10k - 12k gold that were sold at the 1915 Pan Pacific Expo and backdated to 1853 and all of these are rare.
