VP George Bush Handwritten Note & Pic Rostenkowski - Originally from the Estate of Congressman Dan Rostenkowski. 10” x 8” color picture of Vice-President George H.W. Bush shaking the hand of longtime House Ways and Means Chairman Dan Rostenkowski, apparently when Vice-President Bush was entering the Senate for an event. The picture is accompanied by a printed list of senators who had been designated by Bush in his capacity as President of the Senate to escort the Prime Minister of Canada into the chamber. Below the list is a comical handwritten note to the Congressman: ”Dan - you could have clapped a little louder when I walked in!! George Bush”. There is also a photo copy marked ”For Con. to see” dated Dec 12, 1988. This is a note on Vice-President stationery written to Mike Sullivan writing ”My pal Dan Rostenkowski told me of the Bush-Quayle sticker on your bag. Thanks for that. I hope his shanks didn't throw you off - Great guy though. Sincerely Geroge Bush. We believe this may be former PGA golfer Michael J. Sullivan.
