Arthur Jackson Tachymeter Stop Pocket Watch 3 Dial - Rare Swiss-made Private label pocket watch with chronometer (stop watch) complication and tachymeter (tachometer, tachymetre) scale sold by scientific instrument maker Arthur Jackson Machine Tool Company of Toronto (and Montreal and Vancouver), Canada. 52mm case diameter. Watch is currently running and keeping good time (for the six hours observed), but has not been serviced or professionally evaluated - as is. Case is likely bronze with copper crown. Gold tone hour and minute hands. Heat treated gun metal blued stop watch sweep hand, second hand and 30-minute stop watch timer hand. Upper sub dial is 30 minute chronometer timer, which advances once per minute. Lower subdial contains watch second hand. Chronometer second hand and 30 minute hand are started, stopped and reset by the single pusher in the crown. Acrylic crystal is scuffed and not securely attached. Inside of back case cover and watch back cover: ”214436”. Movement is stamped ”Swiss”, but no movement number was observed (likely under balance wheel). Research suggests 17 jewels, adjusted movement. Small cracks in porcelain dial observed at the 10:30 position, near the bezel. Please see photos for details and condition.
