Dexter Thread Counter Glass and Metal Cabinet 3 Drawer Advertising - Three glass-front drawer advertising cabinet for Dexter Boil - Proof Mercerized Twist (cotton thread / floss). This cabinet is metal and glass. Original transfer images and words are in great condition on both sides. Drawers show minimal paint loss and slide well. Some scratches on back panel and slight dent, minor staining and light craquelure on top. Approximately 13.75w x 12.5d x 4.6” high. N.G.B. Dexter and A.B. Collingbourne Sr. were key figures associated with the Collingbourne Mills and Dexter company in Elgin, Illinois, known for manufacturing thread and floss. They were prominent local business owners involved in industrial, community, and residential development, including the construction of the Collingbourne Community House in the early 20th century.
