Henry A. House Patent Model Bag Machine, 1879 - Patent model bag making machine invented by Henry Alonzo House (1840-1930). Has what appears to be original hand written patent application tag (dated June 6 1879) and patent tag (patent No. 236951) with patent date of January 25 1881. We have printed out a copy of the original diagrams and description. The handle appears to have been broken off. There is one loose piece which is present. Measures approximately 12-1/8” x 7-1/8” x 10” tall. Weight: 43.3 pounds (19.7 kg). Henry Alonzo House was a prolific inventor (over 300 patents) in various industries. At the time of this patent, he was living in Bridgeport, CT and working for the Union Paper Bag Company of Philadelphia. Please see photos for details and condition.
