A.T. Peck Patent Model Butter Tub (Firkin), 1862 - Patent model for butter tib (firkin) by A. T. Peck. Has what appears to be original handwritten patent application tag dated 1862 (faded). Also includes tag from Cliff Peterson Collection. Pat. No. 36361 Model is made of wood. Outer box has brass plaque engraved A.T. Peck Scott, N.Y.” We have printed out the original patent application which was granted as patent No. 36361 on September 2, 1862. Measures approximately 4-7/8” x 4-7/8” 4.25” tall. Top of butter tub has diameter of approximately 4.25”. Weight: approximately 0.75 pounds. Signs of wear on the outer box, but inner tub shows less wear. Please see photos for details and condition.
