R.D. Flynn Patent Model Window Glass Transport '82 - Patent model for a Crate for transportation of windows and plate glass by Robert D. Flynn. Has what appears to be original hand written patent tag (patent No. 271827) with patent date of February 6 1883, and the handwritten patent application tag dated November 27 1882. Also includes a tag from the Mr. & Mrs. Rundle Gilbert Collection. Model is made of wood and metal with glass pieces. Includes copy print of original diagram in 7.5” x10.5” frame. Measures approximately 10” x 4.75” x 5.25” tall. Weight: approximately 4.1 pounds. Signs of wear. The lid does not close completely, perhaps due to warping of wood.
