Squire Gambell Patent Model Washing Machine, 1865 - Patent model for a washing machine by Squire Gambell. Has what appears to be original hand written patent tag (patent No. 45990) with patent date of January 24 1865 (tag has been torn and taped back together). The remnants of the patent application tag (dated 1864) is fastened to the base of the model. Model is made of wood. Measures approximately 6” x 6.5” x 7-1/8” tall. Weight: approximately 1.1 pounds.
