IL. Gov. Geo. Ryan Golf Trophy & Memorabilia - We have a nice assortment of items from the estate of former Illinois Governor George H. Ryan. George Ryan was the 39th governor of Illinois serving in that capacity from 1999 to 2003. Prior to assuming the rolel of governor Ryan also served as Lt. Governor and secretary of state. Among the treasures is a winning team tropy from the 1975 Rollison Memorial tournament naming George H. Ryan Sr., Wm. Taube, Don Turner, and Bill Richards the winning team with a score of 36 under par. The base of the tropht does have a few smaller scratces and the golf figure on top will need to be tightened down but this is an otherwise impressive looking item. Other items of interest include a 20 inch long wooden name plate from Ryan's time as Lt. Governor, a pen holder with a marble base containing a gold toned name plate from Ryan's tenure as Speaker, a stack of gold toned name plates engraved as ”Governor And Mrs. George Ryan”. glass paperweight from the 2001 Presidential Inauguration, marble base paperweight with a gold toned eagle and a gold toned nameplate engraved George H. Ryan Governor, golf divot tool marked George H. Ryan Secretary of State, untested souvenir alarn clark from Ryan's 1999 inauguaration as governor, a business card hold stamped ”George Ryan Governor”, commemorative letter opener dated 1993 from the Illinois School Library Media Association, and a pewter picture frame with a replica flag inside.
