Three Swiss Stamps from 1977, Folklore Series - A set of three Swiss postage stamps from the 1977 ”Folk Costumes” series, each printed on paper and depicting distinct cultural or folkloric themes. All stamps bear the inscription ”HELVETIA” vertically along the left edge and are perforated. The top stamp, in monochromatic purple-brown, depicts a procession of figures in historical or ceremonial costumes, inscribed ”PROCESSIONE DI MENDRISIO” and marked ”70.” The bottom left stamp, in blue-gray, features masked figures—one with wings and an eagle's head, another with a shield, and a third in elaborate attire—marked ”VOGEL GRYFF BASEL” and marked ”80.” The bottom right stamp, in vibrant green, depicts two figures adorned with large feather headdresses and traditional instruments or sticks, inscribed ”ROLLEIBUTZEN ALTSTÄTTEN” and marked ”30.”
