Bidspirit auction | Three Used Belgian Postage Stamps
Three Used Belgian Postage Stamps from the 'European Union - New Members' Series, 2004 (Estonia, Cyprus, Slovakia) - A group of three used Belgian postage stamps, part of the 'European Union - New Members' series issued in 2004. Each stamp is denominated '0.44' and inscribed 'BELGIË-BELGIQUE'. The stamps feature the emblem of the European Union (a ring of stars) along with a partial flag and the name of an EU member state in two languages. The states represented are Estonia (Estland, Estonie) on the top stamp, Cyprus (Chypre, Cyprus) on the bottom left stamp, and Slovakia (Slovaquie, Slowakije) on the bottom right stamp. All three paper stamps bear visible postmarks, notably a prominent red circular cancellation 'BRUSSEL' (Brussels) that partially obscures the Slovakia stamp. The date '2004 mvtm' is discreetly printed on the side of each stamp.
