Three Used Belgian Postage Stamps: Portraits and Botany - A group of three used Belgian postage stamps, all mounted on a black background. The top left stamp features a portrait of Marguerite Yourcenar on a peach-orange background, inscribed ”BELGIQUE-BELGIË 0,59” and postmarked ”BRUXELLES” on ”03.12.03-17”. Adjacent to this, the top right stamp, in blue, depicts a man in a suit, inscribed ”BELGIQUE-BELGIË 16 F” and partially text ”LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE”, postmarked ”LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE / OTTIGNIES” on ”20.09.94 14H”. The larger stamp at the bottom features a botanical illustration of a pink-flowering plant identified as ”CALYSTEGIA SOLDANELLA” in a multicolored landscape, inscribed ”BELGIË - BELGIQUE 16 F” and postmarked ”BRUXELLES” with a partially visible date of ”-1.03-17” (probably January 1, 2003, 5:00 PM). All stamps are paper and date from the late 20th to early 21st centuries, based on postmark dates.
