Exclusive and important single work attributed to Carlo Maratti (Maratta), 17th/18th century. 78 x 100 cm - Good overall condition, signs of aging, minor restorations. Once mentioned in the collection of Carlo Maratti, this canvas clearly derives from the one now held at the Hermitage (oil on canvas, 100 x 84 cm). The work, originally from the Walpole Collection in 1736, perhaps transferred to the collection of Niccolò Pallavicini in Rome, is clearly a work from the artist's mature period.
