A FAMILLE NOIRE PORCELAIN BALUSTER-SHAPED VASE, China, Qing dynasty, late 19th century - h cm 45,5 It is decorated on the body with two large rectangular reserves depicting respectively a qilin and a pheasant among flowers; on the sides are smaller circular and fan-shaped reserves with floral motifs. The neck features two floral reserves. The whole is set against a ground of black swastika diaper pattern with shou symbols.
