A RARE CHINESE OCTAGONAL LOBED BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN JAR, LATE MING DYNASTY, WANLI MARK AND PERIOD (1573-1619). Of melon form decorated with panels of birds, flowers and rockwork between bands of lappets and leaves. Six character mark of Wanli in double ring to base. Together with a later fitted openwork wooden display stand and cover decorated in relief. Jar 10.5cm tall x 15cm wide. (3) Provenance: Property of a lady with title, from an important private collection held at a Berkshire estate, acquired before 1950.
