A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN YEN YEN VASE, QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722). Of baluster form with trumpet neck vividly decorated in rich underglaze cobalt blue with scene possibly from Romance of the Western Chamber, Xixiang Ji. Double ring in underglaze blue to the base. 46cm tall. Provenance: Property of George Duncombe Hunt (1869-1953), once held at his private estate at The Old Rectory, Bathampton, Bath from 1922. The vase was acquired in the early 20th century, thence by descent.
