A CHINESE SANCAI GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE AND RIDER, TL TESTED, TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907). The rider seated astride the horse wearing a peaked hat and straw glazed clothes, the horse glazed in amber and green, on a rectangular base. With Oxford Authentication Ltd Thermoluminescence Analysis Report, Sample No: C100t45: it was estimated that the date of the last firing was between 900-1500 years ago, consistent with the period of manufacture, certificate dated 13 July 2000. Together with a TL test from the University of Hong Kong, estimating that the material was last fired about 1200 years ago, the result is consistent with the claimed period of manufacture, dated 22 February 2000. 36cm long x 43cm high.
