A CHINESE SANCAI GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE, TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907). Modelled standing foursquare, with an amber glazed mane, saddle and tail, the horse's body in cream glaze, on a rectangular base and carved hardwood stand. The horse 32cm long x 36cm high, the hardwood stand 25cm wide. Provenance: The stand bearing label for: Anonymous sale, London, 9 November 2005, lot 498 (Most probably a Sotheby's sale). Property of a Lancashire family.
