Navon's family had five children, three of whom became painters. His two brothers, Haim and Ze'ev, were also painters, both graduates of the Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem. Haim Navon studied there alongside the famous painter and illustrator Nahum Gutman, who considered him a great talent.
