He was one of the founders of Hachsharat Hayishuv and Ahiasaf. He joined a factory in Palestine by Leon Stein and was one of the founders of Carmel Mizrachi. Was the owner of the Goldberg orchard, which is advancing to its time, which was located on about 40% of today's Ramat Gan area. The Goldberg Pardes planted near Napoleon Hill, halfway between Jaffa and Petah Tikva, was an important station in the life of the pioneers of the Second Aliyah. The orchard was temporarily abandoned during the riots. In 1910, Goldberg purchased about half the area of ​​the wet settlement that was in distress. He established the first modern cattle farm in the country, and planted thousands of forest trees around the settlement. He also purchased the Lord Gray Hill estate and even paid the principal (£ 7,500) for the land on which the Hebrew University was built on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem and transferred the land to the JNF. He also founded the Yitzhak and Rachel Goldberg Foundation to support Hebrew culture. The foundation assists in acquiring books for school libraries, awards literary prizes and scholarships to Technion students and students of the Levinsky College and the Herzliya Gymnasium. He edited and published the publication of the Zionist Organization Haolam and was one of the publishers of the Hebrew newspaper Ha'am. Goldberg was one of the founders of the weekly 'Hador' and the daily 'Hayom' and one of the founders of AhiaSaf publishing the ”Hashiloach” monthly. In 1919, after immigrating to Israel, he founded Haaretz in its first incarnation. Goldberg, who lost his son Benjamin who fell in defense of the Spirit Hospital in the 1929 riots. Yitzhak Goldberg died in Switzerland in 1935 on the 15th of Elul 5635, and was buried in Israel on the 28th of Elul.
