CHARLES SHED 'STREAMSIDE LANDSCAPE' OIL PAINTING - Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Charles Dyer Shed (CA, 1818 - 1893), signed lower left & dated 1875. Features a streamside landscape with fisherman. Art measures 14” h x 24” w presented in a frame measuring 14” h x 24” w presented in a frame measuring 22” x 31”.  Artist bio: Shed arrived in San Francisco during the Gold Rush in 1849. He worked as a ship chandler and as a scene painter for theatrical producer David Robinson (father of artist Charles D. Robinson). He painted many landscapes of northern California as well as marines and the shipping activities on San Francisco Bay. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. Fair, 1857, 1858 (medal), 1860, 1878-80; Calif.
