NELLIE KILLGORE KLINGE ”MOUNTAIN FARMS” IDAHO OIL PAINTING - Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Nellie Killgore Klinge (ID, CA, CO, 1883 - 1954), signed lower right & dated '43. Titled ”Mountain Farms, Preston, Idaho” on the verso and numbered #306. Art measures 12” h x 16.5” w presented in a frame measuring 18” x 22”.  Artist bio. Killgore Kling is listed in Edan Hughes', ”Artists in California, 1786-1940” Women Artists of the American West. She moved to Fort Collins, CO in the 1890s. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1902, she studied at the AIC and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She then taught at Colorado State University until her marriage to H. J. Klinge in 1920. During the 1920s she lived for a few years in Stockton, CA before settling in Preston, ID.
