MELVILLE WIRE 'OREGON LAKE VIEW' LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING - Original oil painting on canvas by listed Oregon artist, Melville Wire (1877 - 1966), signed lower left. Features a lake view landscape in Oregon with mountains beyond. Art measures 10.5” h x 14.5” w mounted in a frame measuring 14.5” x 18.5”.  Artist bio: Wire was an exhibiting member of the Portland Art Club and the Oregon Society of Artists. In 1915, he exhibited with representative Oregon artists at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco.
