HARRY SPIERS WINTER LANDSCAPE MIXED MEDIA PAINTING - Original winter landscape watercolor and tempera painting on paper by listed artist, Harry Spiers (1869 - 1947), signed lower left. Art measures 19.5” h x 23.5” w presented in a frame measuring 28.5” x 32”.  Artist bio: Spiers was trained at the Académie Julian under Henri-Lucien Doucet and Alfred-Henri Bramtot. He became a member of the Boston Society of Water Color Painters and the Ontario Society of Artists, and he exhibited at the Royal Canadian Academy and a watercolor called Solitude at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1917. Two solo shows are known: one at the galleries of Leonard and Company in Boston (December 1918) and another two years later in New York's Babcock Art Galleries.
