CHESTER GLENN MURPHY ”SECRET COVE” OIL PAINTING - Original seascape oil painting on board by listed Oregon artist, Chester Glenn Murphy (OR, KS, 1907 - 1997), signed lower right & titled on the verso ”Secret Cove”. Art measures 18” h x 24” w mounted in a frame measuring 23” x 28.5”.  Artist bio: Chester Murphy was a painter of landscapes and seascapes and also did mural painting. He taught at the Juniper Art Guild in Crook County. He moved to Portland in 1927 and was exhibiting with the Oregon Society of Artists by 1951, later serving as their president. His work has been exhibited at the Oregon Society of Artists; Citizens for Art Group (1959); Maryhill Museum Oregon Centennial (59).
