CLARE SODERSTROM ”OASIS OF MARA” CALIFORNIA OIL PAINTING - Original oil painting on board by listed artist, Clare Eloise Kimball Soderstrom (CA, 1886 - 1972), signed lower right and dated 1932. Titled on the verso ”Oasis of Mara” in Joshua Tree National Park in California. Art measures 16” H x 24” W presented in a frame measuring 21.5” H x 29.5” W x 2” D.  Artist bio: Soderstrom was active in the local Los Angeles art scene. She studied with Jack Wilkinson Smith whose influence is seen in her landscapes and still lifes. Exh: San Gabriel Artists Guild, 1936.
