1992 GARY SCRUTTON PARABELLE GLASS SIGNED LATTICE GROUND PAPERWEIGHT - A 1992 Parabelle Glass lattice ground paperweight signed by listed Oregon artist, Garry Scrutton (1937-2014). The item is marked ”PB 1992” on the interior of the paperweight and includes signed provenance paperwork. The item measures 2.5” H, 3” W, 3” D.  Artist bio: Gary Scrutton was an Oregon glass artist who founded Scrutton Glass Studio in Portland’s Sellwood neighborhood in 1976 before relocating it to Milwaukie, where the family-run studio still operates today. He was known for his stained and leaded glass work as well as his later creation of intricate millefiori paperweights under the name Parabelle Glass in the 1980s. Scrutton’s career and legacy are deeply tied to the Portland–Milwaukie area, where his artistry continues through his family’s stewardship of the studio.
