Art measures 16” H x 20” W presented in a frame measuring 16” H x 24” W x 2” D.  Artist bio: Peter Winthrop Sheffers was an American Impressionist and modern landscape painter, active primarily in Illinois and Oregon, celebrated for his lyrical coastal, mountain, and rural scenes. Sheffers is known to have exhibited his work through the American Artists Professional League, the American Federation of Arts, and the Carmel Art Association. His personal archives (1944–1949) are preserved in the Willamette University Archives and Special Collections in Oregon.
