RAW GEMSTONES: BIGGS PICTURE JASPER & OPAL IN PEGMATITE - This lot includes: two slabs of raw Biggs ”picture” jasper, prized for opaque jasper jewelry and formed from an ancient mud sandwiched and metamorphosed between two ancient lava flows near Biggs Junction, OR, and one chunk of opal-bearing pegmatite rock with various 1” to 2” diameter raw white opal phenocrysts or nodules. The larger Biggs jasper slab measures 3” H x 7.5” W x 3.5” D and the opal pegmatite rock measures 3” H x 5.5” W x 4.5” D.
