C. 1884 ELGIN SILVER POCKET WATCH OWNED BY JAMES SIMS - A c. 1884 model 4 grade 6 Elgin National Watch Co. pocket watch with a .900 coin silver case owned by one James Sims (1851-1928) in Port Townsend of the Washington Territory. The movement serial number is 1404213. The watch was bought from J. A. Wright Watch & Clock Maker in Port Townsend. The chain has a tag with ”Jas. Sims, FLT, Port Townsend, W. T.” engraved on it. The watch includes a shadowbox display with biographical information and photos of James and Mary Jane Sims. The watch measures 2” H x 2” W x 0.5” D and the shadow box measures 18” H x 12” W x 2” D.
