ANTIQUE METTLACH VILLEROY & BOCH ”MUNICH CHILD WITH SAYING” #2002 1/2 L ENGRAVED STONEWARE STEIN - An antique Mettlach Villeroy & Boch ”Munich Child with Saying” #2002 engraved stoneware stein, in 1/2 L size with an inset beer brewer's guild crest lid. This stein design is attributed to the potter O. Hupp. The stein measures 6” H x 5.75” W x 4.25” D. The stein reads: ”Wer nie mit einer vollen Maass auf einem Münchner Keller sass, der weiss nicht was vor anderen Völkern der Liebe Gott Bayern gab.” (He who has never sat in a Munich cellar with a full liter of beer, doesn't know what God gave to Bavarians in preference to other people.).
